The principle of desulphurization and purification for desulfurization dust collector

The desulfurization dust collector is a kind of instrument designed and developed for the desulfurization working environment of the factory and mills.
At present, the application of dust removal and desulfurization equipment in the industry is wide. The most basic purification principle is to apply wet dust removal, water film desulfurization and dust removal, impact water bath desulfurization and dedusting and other technical principles to the desulfurization dust collector's technology and equipment. It has a good effect on the waste gas pollution of some industrial factories.
The main principles and processes of the desulfurization and dust collector are as follows:
1 -- air intake; 2 -- motor; 3 -- screw conveyor; 4 -- pool dust outlet; 5 air flow diffuser plate; 6 -- dust hopper; 7 -- filter room; 8 -- dust filter bag; 9 -- flower plate; 10 -- outlet.
In general, the boiler of desulphurizing dust collector is using Y5-48-6.37 centrifugal fan, the rotation rate of 2900r/mi, reached 22kW in power. The air inlet device of filter bag dust collector, which is used as negative pressure and blow back device of boiler, can ensure that the operation of filter bag desulphurization and ash cleaning is carried out when the equipments around dust collector do not stop working. In normal work, desulfurization and purification can be effectively carried out. After separating the duster into independent filter chamber, the effect of desulfurization and dedusting will be more perfect. In the stable work, some of the flue gas can mainly enter into the intake port from the bottom of the dust collector, and the flue gas is going forward along with the negative pressure airway the dust collector. In the process of desulphurization, there will be a part of the dust particles settling in the dusts by gravity, while the other part of the smoke which needs desulfurization will resides in the filter bags through flue gas desulfurization and dust removal pipe. After the purification of the desulphurization process, the gas that has been desulphurized will be discharged through the air draught fan so as to achieve the purpose of purifying the gas and removing the dust.
The most important thing is that it is also very beneficial to the protection of the atmospheric environment.

-For pasted filter bags: when resolving filter bags pasted issues, we need to move the ash cleaning apparatus and testing equipment at site. Dust cleaning is operated at site, clearing the dust cakes on the baghouse filter bag surfaces, reducing the resistance, thus the filter bags dust collection function is restored, and operation cost of end users is reduced. The main body of the ash cleaning device is a small gas tank equipped with a pulse jet valve, and a circular cover is installed outside the output pipe of the pulse valve. The air compressor sends the compressed air to the gas tank through the hose. During operation, the output pipe of the pulse valve is put into the upper part of the dust filter bag, and the round cover plate covers the filter bag mouth tightly. When the pulse valve opens, compressed air is sprayed into the dust filter bag, and the dust on the outer surface of the baghouse filter bag is cleared, and the permeability of the bag is increased. This operation is carried out one by one until all the dust collector filter bags are cleared.
- For filter bags with “Enema” issues: Using the principle of jet pneumatic to clear the dust from inside of dust collector filter bags with “enema”, and restore its working ability, so that the number of discarded dust collection filtration bags is reduced. This device is called the "ash suction gun". Its core component is a small ejector, and the compressed air inlet is equipped with a ball valve. The vacuum cleaner has two types of blowing and sucking. It can connect the outlet or the entry of the guider with the filter bags to be dusting separately, so that it can form two working modes of "dust absorption" or "soot blowing".

In recent years, with the promotion using of dust collector, the filter bags types are becoming more and more, as supporting part of baghouse filter bags, filter bag cages strength need to be increased by adding its wires number and diameter. Then, what is allowable variation in the dimensions of filter bag cages during inspection?

During the operation of dust removal equipment, the bag cage and filter bag are in close state. If the size matching is not considered when installing, it is easy to wear and even damage the filter bag. How to match size of filter bag and cages?
/If the filter bag cages diameter is too large, it will take troubles to loading and unloading; if the baghouse cages diameter is too small, that will cause a collision between filter bags and cages, and then wear the filter bag until it is scrapped.
/When selecting pps filter bags, the filter bags diameter shall be larger than filter cage diameter by 5-7mm, and the baghouse filter bags length shall be larger than cages by 0.4%-0.6%.
/When selecting ptfe laminated fiberglass filter bags, the filter bags diameter shall be larger than cage diameter by 3-5mm, and the dust filter bags length shall be larger than cages length by 0.2%-0.4%.
/Filter bag cages must be shorter than filter bags. Exact length of filter bag cages depends on filter bags length and filter bags materials. When dust collector is running, because of filter bag cages’ thermal expansion and filter bags’ heat shrinkage, the filter bag cages probably be ejected out of the plate sheet by filter bags, and the filter bags will be damaged easily.

Dust collector filter bags and cages play a very important role in the process of dust removal in the bag type dust collector, so what is the "heart" of the dust collector in the end? The filter bag cages of the dust collector are important. Its main function is to support and fix the filter bag. The quality of the dust collector baghouse cages directly affects the service life and the dust removal effect of the dust filter bags, but it is not the heart of the dust collector baghouse. So during the usage, the dust collection filter bag has an indelible effect, then how to do replacement of filter bags?

1.    For single section filter bag cages, normally there is space for filter bags changing operation. First, take out filter bags and cages, use knife or other tools to remove the filter bags which attached onto filter bag cages.(Please do not damage filter bag cages)
2.    For multi section filter bag cages, we can cut the dust collector filter bags at the joints of filter bag cages and then remove the filter cages, then move to open area and remove filter bags from cages.
3.    During filter bag installation, we must ensure that the cloth dust filter bags size is same as requirement of installation. The imperfect processing of dust collector baghouse is also the reason why filter bags problems easily occur. After dust filter bag installation, the mouth of filter bag must be tightly sealed and hard to be rotated by hand.
4.    The mouth of the dusting bag is completely opened, and there is no remainder after the installation.
5.    For dust filter bags with structure of cap and hoop, in order to prevent falling or air leakage, it is necessary to do good job of fastening.

In the process of replacement of dust collector and baghouse filter bags, most filter bags will be corroded, aging, still and shrinking after very long time of usage. And during the changing filter bags by hand, because the collected dust is too fine, the operation workers need to wear dust proof mask, goggles and ballistic cap to ensure their own security, then do jobs of filter bag replacement.

SIIC team introduces 5 steps of correct installation of pulse jet filter bag as followings:
1.    The lifting of the pulse jet bag type dust collector should be paid attention to prevent the deformation. When the equipment is out of the factory, all the key parts are welded with the hanging ear. Please use the hanger for hoisting.
2.    When the gas section is assembled, the main air pipes have been made in the factory, and it only needs to be assembled at the site. The control pipe (connecting the lifting valve cylinder) must be installed at the site, such as blanking, buckle and so on. All pipes must be cleaned up without any debris. All the joints should be filled with sealing materials and tested without leakage.
3.    After installation of bag type pulse jet dust collector box, bag chamber, inlet and outlet and ash buckets, all connections should ensure airtight and no air leakage. Air tightness welding must be carried out for welding seals. With fasteners connected, the seal must be encrypted with gaskets and all the fasteners are tightened. For the local air leakage, using silica gel or epoxy resin for plugging leaks. The seal of the bag type dust collector is an important factor affecting the normal operation and life, and the air leakage rate of the pulse jet bag filter house should be less than 3%.
4.    After installing filter bag cages into pulse jet dust collector, press plate needs to be installed as well, so that the ground wire, filter cages and cell plate sheet are in close contact. The explosion-proof door on the pulse bag type dust collector has been adjusted in the factory before delivery, and no need to adjust when it is installed.
5.    The installation of dust collector filter bags and cages is one most careful work in the whole installation, so it should be installed behind. When installation, the filter bag cannot be touched with the sharp hard objects, hook, even small scratches can also greatly shorten the life of the filter bag. Correct method of installation bag is: put the baghouse filter bag into bag room through the plate hole of box-pack snap band top of filter bag into concave shape and put it into the cell plate hole- make the spring ring restoration, make it pressed onto the circumference surface of the hole tightly- inserted filter bag cage gently from the bag mouth until the up part collar the bag cage does pressure plate hole of cell plate in the box body.  In order to prevent the filter bag from stepping down, better install one filter bag cage after one filter bag installed.
